Maintenance is the cheap part
Nearly every large repair bill started as a small maintenance item somebody deferred. Fluids, filters, belts and brakes are inexpensive on a schedule and expensive on a tow truck.
Brake fluid absorbs moisture and coolant loses its corrosion inhibitors whether or not the car is being driven. Age counts.
Cracking, glazing and soft spots are visible long before a failure. They are a two-minute look on a lift.
Air, cabin, fuel and oil filters are among the cheapest parts on the car and among the most consequential when neglected.
A weeping gasket found early is a gasket. Found late it is a gasket plus whatever ran dry.
North Country winters find every weak battery, marginal coolant and worn wiper. Autumn is the right time to catch them.
A documented service history is worth real money when you sell, and it is free — you just have to keep it.
What we handle
Scheduled maintenance is the backbone, but the shop is a full general repair shop. If the inspection turns something up, it does not need to go somewhere else.
Told once, in plain language
You get the list of what the car needs, what is urgent, what can wait a while, and what is genuinely optional — separated out rather than bundled into one intimidating number. Then you choose.
Scheduled Maintenance — asked and answered
What maintenance does my car actually need?
That depends on your model, engine and mileage. Bring the car in or call with the details and we will go through the manufacturer's schedule for it and tell you where you stand.
Do I have to do everything on the list at once?
No. We will tell you what is safety-related, what is time-sensitive, and what can reasonably wait — and you decide the order.
Will you keep a record of the work?
Yes. You get documentation of what was done, which is worth keeping for both warranty purposes and resale.
Get on a schedule
Call and we will work out where your car is against its service schedule. Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm.
